This program was launched by Canadian Tire to address an issue of national concern: the inactivity of kids.
We joined their cause to help children in financial need participate in sports and physical activities by donating bikes, skates, and other sports equipment. With our help, Jumpstart was able to set up the Velotheque Project in Lachute, Quebec. Similar to how a library operates, the Velotheque lets children borrow and return bikes from their community centre. We supported a similar project in Gatineau, Quebec to provide 60 bikes for children in that area.
