This fund has paid for such things as medication not covered by the government, emergency dental treatment, orthotic shoes, hearing aids, glasses, ostomy supplies, new mattresses, emergency lifeline, and dentures. We were also able to finance the cost of elevator sensors, emergency alarms, adapted bars for the handicapped washroom, and specialized chairs. A large screen TV was also purchased to give home-bound seniors the opportunity to participate virtually in many of the Centre’s programs from the comfort and safety of their own home.
